XBFL has entered its off-season,
therefore any updates to
the Website and communication
to members will be sporadic
between now and the beginning
of August. Furthermore,
the news sections on this
particular page will cease
to be updated on a regular
basis until that time as
well.
League activity
will pick back up during
the final week of July as
both prospective and existing rosters
will be reviewed and contacted.
Phillyenigma
Again Dominates All-Pro
Football 2K8 League;
Captures Second APFB2K8
Championship
5/26/09:
Phillyenigma
earned his second All-Pro
Football 2K8 championship
last evening by defeating
Bleuet Alma 45-42. Both
teams' defenses were apparently
no where to be found as
both players found
a way to score on each
of their possessions.
With
just over a minute to go
in regulation, Phillyenigma
scored the go-ahead touchdown
with his 2003 Philadelphia
Eagles-based roster,
however, lost that lead
as Bleuet Alma (2008 Seattle
Seahawks roster) returned
the ensuing kickoff for
touchdown to even the score
at 42 a piece. Phillyenigma
in turn made efficient use
of his offensive weapons
on the game's final possession
and drove down the field
to well within field goal
range and two seconds
remaining on the game
clock. His kicker
split the uprights as time
expired, earning Phillyenigma
the title of undisputed
king of All-Pro Football
2K8. Congratulations
to Phillyenigma!
Meaker
Wins Second Consecutive
Madden 2009 Season with
Miami Dolphins

The
XBFL has wrapped up its
13th season this weekend
as Meaker took home
his second consecutive Madden
2009 title. In the
final, Meaker defeated
Trazzy88's Dallas
Cowboys 16-10. The
Cowboys' had the regular
season's best overall record
at 11-1, and easily dispatched
the #2 seeded St. Louis
Rams (WhoWantsDis) 20-0
in the NFC Conference Championship.
Meaker defeated nemesis
Tennesee Titans (Dman20)
to reach the final. Tennesse
had beaten the Dolphins twice
during the regular season
but came up short in the
AFC Conference Championship.
Congratulations
to Meaker who has
clearly shown that he was
the best there is in Madden
2009!

We anticipate pre-season
activity beginning in mid-August and our regular
season coinciding with the
real NFL schedule.
This
time is considered the XBFL's
"off-season" despite
continued league activity.
As a result, very
few updates will be made
to the homepage and supporting
Web pages. Routine
updates will now be made
twice per month with regard
to league, NFL, and gaming-related
news. Regular mainentance
will resume in mid-to-late
July
